Safety Tips for Hotpots

  • Cook food thoroughly before consumption. Shellfish should be cooked in boiling water for not less than five minutes.
  • Use two sets of chopsticks and eating utensils to handle raw and cooked food separately, with an additional pair for chicken and poultry to avoid cross contamination.
  • Add food to boiling water only, especially after topping up with unboiled water or extra broth.

Miss Choyce HK 2011 - the quest to find HK's most beloved PA

The search begins... for HK's best PA, where loyalty, thoughtfulness, initiation and enthusiam trump teased hair and skimpy swimwear.
CHOYCE Group (a secretarial recruitment agency) is looking for Miss CHOYCE HK 2011, so bosses and managers, submit your nominations (along with a written report and/or two to four minute video clip demonstrating the abovementioned attributes) ASAP. The competition is open to anyone that holds the title of either Personal/Executive Assistant or Administrator.

Sunday Brunch at The Bostonian

Set to the sounds of a live jazz trio, The Bostonian is fast becoming a place to add onto your list of Sunday Brunch hot spots. Start off with the appetizer buffet (with items like chocolate waffles, mini scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, shucked oysters, lobster and sushi on offer), and continue on with a choice of six mains (I particularly like the sound of the scrambled eggs with jumbo scallops and caviar), including the traditional Sunday Roast.
HKD 408 per person, and HKD 618 with unlimited champagne. Brunch is served every Sunday from 11am - 3pm.

Jocelyn Luko

I’m from Hawaii—I grew up there my whole life. My mom is Japanese and my dad is Austrian-Irish-French.

Growing up, Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke were my idols. I wanted to marry Dick Van Dyke.

My brother was doing a lot of acting when we were growing up, but I was too thin and gawky so nothing happened… then when I turned 14 and got my braces off, I started modeling.

I actually took on modeling more for the traveling—the modeling was a benefit.
