If you’re a fan of Sichuan’s “ma la” flavor—the spicy cuisine that numbs your mouth, paired with lots and lots of garlic—this is a restaurant you can’t miss. The original is a tiny shop in Sham Shui Po, but we simply had to go see whether this newly opened branch in Mong Kok could maintain the same standards. We went straight for their titular dish, the “heart-breaking sour and spicy noodle.” Yeah, heart-breaking because it’s so sour and hot they reckon you’ll start sobbing out of reflex.
