USA. Category IIB. The first ten, slow minutes of The Hangover had me wondering whether I had been fooled again by another trailer with false promises of an outrageous, fun comedy. However, my faith was soon restored when the boys finally hit Sin City. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so they say, and this is where the film finds its groove.

Category IIA. Every year Eddie Murphy releases another family-fun, sell out comedy. And every year, film critics have a field day: “There was a time blah blah blah, funniest man alive yada yada, watch ‘Delirious’ or ‘Raw,’ etc. etc.” So let’s skip the obvious and accept the fact that he ain’t buying back his soul anytime soon. How does “Meet Dave” rank up against the, oh say, past 20 years of debilitating Murphy humor?
