With an ambitious title and two of the funniest people in Hong Kong, Chapman To and Wong Cho-lam, as the leading men, “La Comédie Humaine” is probably the most anticipated local-made comedy of the year. However, it might have been better named “Les Humains Comiques” as the hilariousness of the film mostly relies on To and Wong’s outstanding comic performances, while the rest of the film… well, Balzac may be rolling in his grave right now.
