If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Hugh Hefner then hop on over to the Playboy Club and enjoy being served by cotton-tailed young ladies wearing killer heels, fishnet tights and floppy ears. Located at the top of the Sands Casino and Hotel, the complex is modeled after Hefner’s infamous Playboy Mansion and features a whiskey bar, cigar lounge, private gaming rooms and more bunny girls than you can shake a carrot at.

It’s the final day of 2012 and there are less than 24 hours before a whole new year begins—assuming Doomsday hasn’t gotten us all already. What to do before the inevitable countdown? Eat up, of course. We’ve drawn out a full day’s itinerary of feasts and celebratory treats, starting with brunch and ending with a decadent multi-course dinner.
Start the last day of the year with a tummy-warming brunch.
Binge your way through the end of the year at one of these restaurants.
The beautiful people love to frequent this joint. Think classy cocktails, starched white linens and collectable art. Add bankers, entrepreneurs, young media luvvies and you have Kee defined. Housed on the sixth floor of a nondescript building, the elevator doors open to moody, understated luxe. It’s small, exclusive and very, very desirable. But beware the secret paparazzo.
A good concierge should be able to get you into this exclusive members-only club, where you can sip a classic cocktail and check out the Picassos, antiques and colonial-style service. It’s more about eating than drinking, but a welcome respite from the neon buzz outside.

Lounge around with a drink under the sun at Hard Rock Hotel’s super laidback poolside bar. Private cabanas take the place of VIP rooms and the swim-up bar serves delicious concoctions such as the “Chocolate Symphony” (Baileys, Kahlua, Crème de Cacao and fresh cream). Wave also does a not-to-be-missed barbecue on weekends and public holidays.

Hotel Chinese restaurants should be excellent, if only to give tourists a good first impression—who wouldn’t try Cantonese cuisine in Hong Kong? Hoi King Heen comes close, but it could use a bit more attention to detail. Located in the hotel basement, the restaurant is neither too kitsch nor Chinese—a good thing. The Peking duck came with the whole presentation: the “lotus leaf pancakes” were nicely steamed on top of the stove and we had individual sets of sauce and spring onions.
