Windsurfer Lee Lai-san

I was born on Cheung Chau. Life was very simple. We did not have sophisticated toys, or cars; we relied on boats. My life has always been related to water.
I’ve learned you don’t need money to have fun. No video games, no computer. My parents had 10 kids - we were trained to share.
My uncle owned a windsurfing centre where I worked in the summers: pouring tea and cleaning trash. I was 13 before he allowed me to get on a board.
