Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
For Halloween this year I'd like to go as Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as "The Bride of Wildenstein" - the woman that ended up looking disfigured after spending millions of dollars on cosmetic surgery procedures. I need to make my face look all bumpy and scarred. To achieve that look, I need some liquid latex. Where can I get this?
— Scarface
Wow. Going for the downright scary look, I see! You can get liquid latex at Helena Beauty Centre (Room G, 10/F, Edward Mansion, 141 Prince Edward Rd. West, Prince Edward, 2397-4163). Make sure you do a patch test first—you don't want to look like Jocelyn when Halloween is over!
Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
I’m coming to you with a very simple question—I’m looking for a place in Hong Kong that does good pizza. And I’m not talking about the kind with that weird stuffed crust thing, or any of those swanky, overpriced places with crusts as thin as crackers, either. I want a good, New York-style pizza pie that’s actually big enough for me to feel full afterwards.
— Pie in the Sky
A picky customer, eh? If you want New York-style pizza then why aren’t you in New York? Luckily for you, there is decent pizza in Hong Kong if you know where to look (and I do know). Try one of Paisano’s many branches for some tried and true toppings like sausage and prosciutto (9 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, 2544-4445) or call up New York Pizza Delivery (NYPD)’s first and only Hong Kong branch for some take out (G/F, 15 Finne St., Quarry Bay, 2668-6973). Both sell affordable, 16” pies ($110+), so you won’t be going hungry.
Mr. Know-It-All is here to answer your questions and quell your urban concerns every week.
