Viewers can still watch their favorite blockbusters and will be able to choose from the new line-up of original series, live events, concerts and documentaries.

In addition to the new programs, the channel logo will be changed from a star into a royal crown featuring three points, which stands for what they describe as the best premium programming and service, and the largest inventory of Chinese movies.

To mark the launch of the enhanced channel on May 19th, Star Chinese Movies will premier the top box office Chinese romantic comedy, "You’re the Apple of My Eye" at 9:30pm. Other films to look forward to include "Life Without Principle," "Romancing in Thin Air," "Magic to Win" and "The Viral Factor" among many others.
