Sipho Mabona
Having folded his first piece of paper at the age of five, Swiss origami artist Sipho Mabona has since made a name for himself, with his work winning awards and gracing galleries in Asia and North America. He made a brief visit to Hong Kong, where he collaborated with Korean origami artists Seo Won-seon and Lee In-kyung on an installation project for Chinese New Year. He tells Leanne Mirandilla about his recent projects, what it takes to be an origami artist, and how to create a work out of a 6x10m piece of paper (it involves a huge workspace and kneepads). Hungry Ghosts
Together for five years, Hong Kong’s famous indie post-rock outfit Hungry Ghosts has been a long-time fixture of the city’s music scene, and has opened shows for the likes of Saosin, Lymbyc Systym and Caspian.
