Ladies, head over to Likuid every first and last Wednesday of the month for a girls-only night of laughs with comedians presented by TakeOut Comedy. After making its debut in March, the event has featured comics such as Earl Young, Vivek Mahbubani (pictured), Joanna Sio, Adam Walz and Lisa Hanahan. DJs spin tunes between sets, and the dance floor is open to everyone after the show at 10pm. Ticket includes a drink. RSVP to likme@likuidhk.com or call 2179-5552 to reserve a table.

Ladies and gents, Ryan Stout is coming to Hong Kong. Why is this notable? Well, if I were a betting man, I'd say that the next opportunity you'll have to see him in this city will be on television or in a film, because his career is on the cusp of blowing up. A comedy festival winner at the age of 22, the smirking, smart Stout is a regular on "Chelsea Lately," has his own "Comedy Central Presents..." special, and has appeared on "Conan," HBO, MTV, and at...

It seems like there isn't a venue around town these days that isn't trying to sell drinks off the backs of local comedians (not literally, I hope), and Rula Bula followed suit a few months back by announcing their monthly comedy night. June's line-up happens to be rock solid top to bottom, with Jim Brewsky, Ryan Hynek, Garron Chiu and HK Mag's own Sean Hebert serving up an hour of laughs to get the LKF faithful over the work-week hump. Did I just write "hump" and...

So you live in a city that doesn't have democracy or a comprehensive plan to tackle its crippling pollution, and yet citizens weep when a duck deflates in the harbor? Well, no one dishes out much-needed perspective like comedians.
