There are those who know their wines, and there are those who really know their wines. For the seasoned oenophiles out there, Spectrum Wine will be holding their second rare wine auction at 11am, on Dec 2-4 at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong Hotel.

The entire two-day event will feature a total of 1,631 lots of rare and collectible wines that is at a pre-sale estimate of over US $6.5million (HK $50.375 million).

Highlights will include over 600 lots of top-shelf Burgundy, several lots of all First Growth Bordeaux’s including six magnums of 1982 Château Lafite Rothschild. The rare 1992 debut vintage of Screaming Eagle will also make a special appearance.

Bids can be placed live in the auction room, online, by phone or fax and through Spectrum Wine’s new iPhone/iPad bidding app. Interested buyers can view 360 degree photographs of the bottles prior to the sale. A complimentary catalog can be ordered from www.spectrumwine.com.
