The buzz: Even in this digital generation of keeping photos as data in our computers, photos represent the important moments of our lives, and it’s only fair that we keep a physical print that can be hand felt and constantly looked at. Photato maintains the good ol’ fashion of printing photographs while staying up to date by adding professional frames and top-quality canvases to present the photos in a modern and stylish manner.
The goods: Photato offers photo printing and framing and canvas photos with professional editing and printing to ensure quality. For those interested in compiling an album to place the memories together in a book, the company also provides photography books and Do It Yourself photobooks, if the photographer would like to add his or her own touch to it. All in all, Photato simply adds that artistic touch to make your photographs a piece of art. On the side, Photato has a collection of camera accessories, such as camera bags, camera straps, pinhole lens, and other items for those who love and see photography as a lifestyle.
The décor: With the launch of its first retail outlet on October 2011, Photato finds itself in Miramar Shopping Centre at the heart of the commercial and retail district in Tsim Sha Tsui. Wood floor matched with glass walls around its well-lit space, the store gives a very modern atmosphere, in contrast to the local photo printing stores we see in our neighborhood. But the photo frames hanging on the wall and the displayed camera accessories collection show that this is nevertheless a photography lover's store.
