The buzz: With creative direction and branding management by local artist Stanley Wong, rwb330 (which stands for red-white-blue 330) takes the red, white and blue striped pattern of those ubiquitous nylon bags—oft spotted being dragged up steep hills by amahs and grannies—and gives them a new lease on life in trendy totes, backpacks and other accessories.

The goods: The aforementioned red-white-and-blue bags… and placemats, tissue box covers, and whatever other homey knick-knacks you can think of. All the wares here are great for those who look at the pattern with nostalgia, or who’re fans of the “cheap-n’-chic” phenomenon that’s been on the rise lately. Handmade products and patchwork by local designer Prudence Mak (also known as Chocolate Rain) and others are also available. Be on the lookout for creative workshops, too.

The décor: The roomy 1,000-square-foot space is done up in a 60s/70s style with touches of modern art. Located near the Flower Market, the store’s founders hope that the store will add to the culture of the area.
