The buzz: If you’ve just won the lottery, rejoice (twice over): there’s now a perfect new spot where you can drop your hard-won money and invest in a little bling. (‘Cause we all know there’s no point in good fortune if you can’t flaunt it.) After around half a year of hiatus, the Unique Timepieces Causeway Bay flagship store has reopened its doors with a new look.
The goods: Put the five biggest names in the watch industry into one shop— Audemars Piguet, Omega, Roger Dubuis, Jaegar-LeCoultre and IWC—and you have Unique Timepieces. As a watch enthusiast himself, Karson Choi, the young chairman of the company, aims to focus on the watch-shopping experience. Customers will be able to make use of personalized VIP service—think the timepiece equivalent of sommeliers—while choosing their overpriced wrist candy.
The décor: Located in Causeway Bay, the store is a whopping 3,500 square feet, with each section dedicated to a different brand. Ambient lighting and lots of space show off the watches’ best sides, while comfy sofas’ll give your buddies a place to chill while you select your wares.
