The Buzz: With only three other outlets in the world, Armani’s club/lounge brand Armani/Privé has opened its fourth baby in the space adjacent to what used to be the Armani Bar (now Armani/Aqua, a restaurant collaboration with Aqua Group). Important to note is that Armani/Prive has nothing to do with the Wyndham Street club of the same name, thank goodness.
The Décor: Psychedelic red and blue lights alternately pierce the smoke filled dance floor on one end of Armani/Privé, while plush velvet seating, sleek black walls and the occasional smattering of deep red furniture make up the rest of the club. Walk up a flight of stairs and find yourself on the 5000 square-foot terrace, soaking up a whole new vibe with their chic, clean white couches and warm wooden deck.
The Music: Hailing from France, DJ and producer Hallex.M manages the music at Armani/Privé, having played alongside names like Bob Sinclair, Danny Krivit and Tahiti 80 in venues stretching from Paris to New York. Expect house music—he is French after all.
The Drinks: Their philosophy is “to re-master the lost art of cocktails,” expect classic cocktail recipes made with fresh ingredients and a modern twist.
