Food blogger Janice Leung, aka e*ting, has co-founded this new farmers’ market. With more than 40 stalls, it will be possibly the largest farmers’ market in the city. It is due to open for a four-week trial period starting September 30 to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Location: Tong Chong Street, Quarry Bay
Opening hours: Sundays 9am-5pm
This market may not be huge, but it is the most accessible one in the city.
Location: Star Ferry Central Pier No. 7
Opening hours: Wednesdays noon-6pm, Sundays 11am-5pm

Grace Tsoi gets up close and personal with the entrepreneurial agriculturalists who are looking to introduce a little local flavor to your dinner plates.
Set up by the YMCA, this is the first farmers’ market in Kowloon. Apart from organic vegetables and fruits, you can also buy green living products, handmade skincare products and soap. Various activities like cooking classes will be organized every week. It is not a permanent market, however, and will be running till February 24, 2013. Make sure you visit ASAP.
Location: Under the elevated highway within the Mei Foo section of Kwai Chung Road

The government will set up a three-month-long organic market from October 25, 2012, to January 10, 2013.

Founded by the Federation of Vegetable Marketing Co-operative Societies in 2005, this is Hong Kong’s most established farmers’ market, attracting more than 3,000 visitors every weekend.
Location: Next to the fire station on Tai Wo Road
Opening hours: Sundays 9am-5pm
The slightly smaller sister to the Tai Po Farmers’ Market.
Location: Crossroads Village, 2 Castle Peak Road, Tuen Mun (opposite Gold Coast Phase I)
Opening hours: Saturdays 10am-4pm
