It’s Thai meets Japanese food in buffet form at Causeway Bay’s Nice Sushi + Thai restaurant. Yes—the concept is a little complicated, but at least you can quell two cuisine cravings at one restaurant. The food choices are extremely varied, with an ample variety of appetizers, salads, mains and desserts available for both lunch and dinner buffet rounds. The Thai selection fares better than the Japanese, and dishes are made with traditional herbs and seasonings for an authentic South-East Asian flavor. The soft-shell crab is bathed in the aromas of lemongrass and a zingy, spicy chili sauce; the penang curries and green curries with assorted meats are satisfying with a bowl of rice. There’s also a delicious selection of colorful, sticky Thai desserts (known as “kanom Thai”) to round off the meal. And the best bit? It’s all you can eat!
