We were pretty excited to hear about the opening of this little place—if only because it’s in our office building. We stopped by once or twice with a couple of friends to try and grab lunch, only to find the tiny space completely packed during lunch hour.

While the restaurant had initially opened with bar counters and bright red plastic bar stools, we were happy to find that they have since upgraded to comfier, padded wooden bar chairs instead, with a couple of normal dining tables as well. We can see this being a good spot for a quick meal rather than a lingering one, as the space is too cramped and noisy when it’s full.

The staff were polite and prompt, seating us quickly and taking our order. We went for a spaghetti salsiccia e funghi (sausage, mushrooms and olive oil) lunch set, which came with a soda and a side salad for $58, and a valdostano panini (parma ham, fontina cheese) for $45. The pasta, while perfectly al dente, was somewhat bland. The same could be said of the panini, which was decent but nothing to write home about.

We may give the spot another try, since we’re curious about the titular piadina, a Roman flatbread served with cured meats, cheese or a sweet spread; and about the all-you-can-eat tapas brunch served on Sundays.
