Elite Concepts (operators of Nanhai No.1, Eye Bar, Guo Fu Lou, ye Shanghai, 1/5 Nuevo, Cinecitta...) opens He Jiang, fusing Sichuan cuisine (hot and spicy) and Huaiyang cuisine (fresh, light and sweet) in a brand new establishment in Causeway Bay, overlooking the Happy Valley Racecourse.
Once upon a time He Jiang was a commercial hub linking Chengdu in Sichuan and Yangzhou in the Jiangsu province, both cradles of the Sichuan and Huaiyang cuisines - and now the best of both worlds is being brought to Hong Kong.
But really, who cares about the fairy tale as long as the food is good...
