HK Cover - Chinese Diverse-City | 2008
HK$888.00
While we are all proud to call this city our home, almost every Hongkonger (barring a few indigenous villagers) can trace their roots back to mainland China. During the era of Communist China, our little city's population exploded as people from all corners of the great country migrated here for a shot at a better life. In this issue we looked at the communities of Chinese diaspora -- From Hakka to Chiu Chow, Sichuan to Shanghainese -- that can be found in Hong Kong, who proudly retain their traditions and cultural roots in a city all-too often accused of homogeneity.
