A 222-gram compact camera with a 3-inch LCD screen, NX1000 has a built-in direct wi-fi that enables access to the internet through over 500,000 wi-fi hotspots. Camera users can email and upload photos or videos to social websites, such as Facebook, Weibo, Youtube, and Twitter, without going through the extra step of transferring files from camera to computer.

MobileLink and TV Link functions allow direct connections between the camera and smartphones, laptop computers, tablets, and TVs for immediate viewing or sending images. NX1000 carries a Remote Viewfinder function that allows camera users to connect smartphones to the camera wirelessly so that smartphone could be used as a remote controller to take photos or preview images.

NX1000 also comes with other special functions that make the product more competitive in the camera market. In addition to the 10 built-in Smart Filters and the 3D and panoramic shooting functions that many of its competitor camera products already carry, NX1000 introduces a 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor that produces clear images, as well as high speed capture and continuous shooting at 8 frames per second. Its ISO ranges up to 12,800 that allows maximum exposure, and it supports 1080p full HD stereo video to which the filters used for photos can be applied.

NX1000 comes in pink, black, and white colors, and camera users will have access to 25GB of free Cloud storage in Microsoft Skydrive to take photos during trips without the constraint of limited memory space.
